Accessible Luxury Leeds Hotel

Making your stay at Quebecs in Leeds as accessible as possible

Please find outlined below our information. We hope to ensure you enjoy your visit to Quebec's - The Leeds Boutique Hotel regardless of whether your life is affected in some way by a medical condition, disability, impairment or specific learning difficulty.

Prior to your arrival

• Enquiries and reservations may be made by phone or email.
• Should you require a taxi to the hotel from Leeds Train Station (5 minute drive) or Leeds Bradford Airport (40 minute drive), we use a reliable company on a regular basis and we would be delighted to book them on your behalf. They do have vehicles suitable for wheelchairs if required.
• Directions to the hotel can be found on our website.

On arrival at the hotel

• You can pull up outside the hotel and wait in the taxi bay and a porter will come and assist you with your luggage.
• We have a small car park adjacent to the hotel. Space is allocated on a first come first served basis. If the hotel car park becomes full we work in affiliation with Q-Park car park situated 3-4 minutes walk from Quebecs.
• We do have a small disable lift at the rear of the building which can accommodate a small wheel chair.
• The main entrance to the hotel is by nine steps and through double glass doors to the main reception area.
• We are more than happy to help you with your luggage and will collect it from your car and deliver it to your room.

Reception Area

• Floor is carpeted and suitable for wheelchairs.
• Low level desk is available in reception to complete your registration.
• Reception is all on one level.
• There is one lift available to 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th floors

Public areas

• Our corridors are well lit and carpeted.
• Access to the Oak Room which is our residents lounge bar is accessible by wheelchair. Access to the conservatory which is our breakfast room is unfortunately not accessible by wheelchairs, there are three small steps up to the conservatory.
• There is a double door leading from reception to the lift area.

Toilets

• The hotel does not have a designated disabled toilet, however, there are three bedrooms with a wide doorway and bathroom fitted with grab rails which is available for guests wishing to use this facility.

Fire Alarm

• The fire alarm system is 'bells' and does not have flashing lights. Assistance is given if evacuation is necessary.
• We have two refuge areas within the hotel on the 2nd and 3rd floor
• We complete a P.E.E.P (Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan) so in the event of an emergency we understand how you would like to be evacuated

Accommodation

• All the bedrooms on the 2nd 3rd and 4th floor are accessible from the lift, and do not have any stairs or steps to the bedroom doors
• One bedroom on the 5th floor is accessible directly from the lift, the rest are accessed by three up / down steps.
• Bedrooms on the ground floor are accessible by three short small steps
• We have three specially adapted bathroom with grab rails as standard, with a large wet area (shower only shower stools can be provided on request)

Additional information

• Guide Dogs are welcome.
• Small fridges are available in all bedrooms for medication.
• We are able to use the front door in the event of evacuation. The bells will ring continuously if evacuation is needed. If you require assistance for evacuating please notify us on arrival.
